Historique :	Commande de l'abbé Lestrade, ancien vicaire de Muret, en 1892-1893 à Mademoiselle Blanc, peintre de Toulouse, pour reconstituer la galerie des curés de l'église Saint-Jacques de Muret dont il avait retrouvé six portraits authentiques, en trop mauvais état pour être conservés. Des copies ont donc été réalisées.

Précision sur l'inscription :	Inscription (gravée, sur un cartel de cuivre) : M. de La Portalière 1864-1867.
Précision_sur la representation :	L'abbé de La Portalière est figuré en buste, vêtu de la soutane à rabat bordé de blanc. Il montre un visage sévère et marqué, encadré de cheveux bruns couvrant en partie ses oreilles.
