Historique :	La seigneurie de Boissède appartenait à la famille de Sabailhan qui manifesta plusieurs fois son attachement à l'église en fondant des chapellenies. Cette église relevait du diocèse d'Auch avant la Révolution.

Précision sur_l'état :	Polychromie lacunaire. Fente sur toute la longueur de la statue. Rajout vissé sur l'épaule droite.
Précision_sur la representation :	Cette statue de saint Simon est, pour l'iconographie, conforme aux modèles du 15e siècle, comme celui de Martin Schongauer, gravé en 1480 : enveloppé dans un manteau drapé, tenant un livre ouvert dans la main gauche, son attribut jusqu'au 15e siècle, et la scie de son supplice dans l'autre main, attribut apparaissant à partir du 15e siècle. Il est figuré comme un homme âgé, avec des cheveux longs formant des anglaises et une barbe à deux pointes.
