Historique :	Tissu datant des 16e-17e siècles, remontage au 19e siècle. Toulouse a été une ville de production de soie. Une manufacture réalisant notamment du velours de soie fut créée en 1534. D'après Christine Aribaud, le tissu de cet ornement pourrait provenir de cette manufacture. Sa grande qualité justifierait que l'on ait conservé cet ornement en le remontant plusieurs fois, comme en témoignent les traces de coutures. La couleur unie rouge plaide pour une datation assez haute, le 18e siècle voyant l'invasion des tissus à fleurs.
