Description :	L'étain est le matériau le plus souvent utilisé pour les coffrets aux saintes huiles ou pour les plats de quêtes, mais il est plus rare de le trouver employé pour un ciboire, objet pour lequel l'argent a longtemps été le seul matériau autorisé. Des tolérances ont cependant été admises pour les paroisses qui n'avaient pas les moyens de se doter de vases sacrés en argent.
