Historique :	Télescope mis en service en 1880, équipé d'un miroir de 83 cm de diamètre taillé par Paul et Prosper Henry en 1874 à une distance focale de 4,88 m. La première monture, de type à fourche, était en bois. Elle fut remplacée par une monture métallique (de type allemand) en 1889 par Paul Gautier. Utilisé surtout pour des observations stellaires, ce télescope a été équipé en 1948 de deux spectographes.
