Historique :	Cette statue provient de la chapelle Notre-Dame du Bout du Pont dont l'origine est inconnu. Elle est décrite dans les visites pastorales comme chapelle dédiée à Notre-Dame de l'Assomption et a été entretenue jusqu'à la Révolution.

Précision_sur la protection :	Inscrit le 29/06/2007. Commission nationale des monuments historiques du 25/03/2008. Commission départementale des objets mobiliers du 08/12/2006. Notée comme du XVIIe s. à l'ordre du jour de la Commission nationale des monuments historiques de 2008.
Précision_sur la representation :	La Vierge est figurée en mouvement, le corps légèrement penché en arrière et sur le côté, la jambe droite fléchie comme dans la marche, le bras droit tendu. Elle tient l'Enfant presque debout sur le bras gauche. Les plis et drapés sont généreux et mouvementés. Les visages ont malheureusement été repeints. Le dos est creusé pour mieux s'adapter au retable dans lequel cette statue prenait place comme en témoigne un crochet ancien. De part et d'autre, la polychromie ancienne transparaît sous la dorure. La Vierge portait initialement une robe rouge et un manteau bleu. Un pan du manteau de la Vierge entoure l'Enfant nu.
